Permanent Residence Visa


A Permanent Residence (PR) Visa allows an individual to live, work, and study in a country on a permanent basis with all benefits. It is often a stepping stone in becoming a citizen of Canada, where you get better opportunities to further pursue route to citizenship.

Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility is based on factors such as Skills, Work Experience, Education, Language Proficiency and Age. Depending on the profile, CRS score is calculated which defines your eligibility in Express Entry pool for Permanent Residence Application. 

Choose the Right Program: 

Select the appropriate immigration program that aligns with your qualifications and goals. 

Apply: 

Complete and submit the application in Express Entry for Permanent Residence to the immigration authorities. This may involve providing detailed information about your background, education, work experience, language proficiency, and other relevant details. 

Invitation to Apply (ITA): 

If you receive an ITA, you have a limited time (usually 60 days) to submit a complete application for permanent residence. 

Documentation: 

Gather and submit the required supporting documents, which may include educational certificates, employment references, language test results, passport copies, and other specified documents. 

Medical Examination:

It is preferable to undergo a pre-medical examination to ensure you meet the health requirements set by the immigration authorities. 

Police Clearance: 

Obtain a police clearance certificate from your home country and any other country where you have lived for an extended period of 180 days or more. 

Application Processing: 

Wait for the immigration authorities to process your application. Processing times can vary, and it's advisable to check the official website of the immigration authority for the most accurate information. 

Interview or Additional Checks: 

You may be called for an interview depending upon category you are applying or the candidate profile. 

Permanent Residence Status: 

If your application is approved, you will be granted Permanent Residence Visa following with the landing date. 

Travel and Renewal: 

Congratulations on the approval. Now its time to make any travel arrangements to land in Canada.
